Brouillette Picks Up Second Consecutive GCAC Player of the Week

Shreveport, La. – Following another outstanding week at the plate, LSUS sophomore catcher Andrew Brouillette picked up his second consecutive GCAC Player of the Week honor as announced earlier today (Mar. 24) by the league’s office.

Brouillette led the No. 6 Pilots to a 3-1 record on the week, including a 7-6 win on Tuesday over the No. 1 ranked team in NCAA Division 2.  He collected 8 extra-base hits on the week with 7 doubles and 1 homerun. Brouillette also knocked in 8 runs to move his season total to 65 RBIs.

Brouillette currently leads the entire country in RBIs (65), total hits (62) and doubles (19), while posting a .534 average through the first 33 games.

The award was Brouillette’s fourth on the season and it was the ninth overall award for the Pilots so far this season.
