Blubaugh Picks Up GCAC Honor

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced today the baseball player of the week for the week ending February 3, 2008.

After sitting out game one of last weekend's three-game series with the Spring Hill Badgers, Blubaugh went a combined 4-for-5 in Saturday's doubleheader, helping the Pilots pull off the sweep versus the Badgers.

After seven games this season, Blubaugh leads the Pilots with a .533 batting average.  Blubaugh also has five RBIs and two doubles on the season.

Blubaugh is the second LSUS baseball player to be honored this season, as RHP Cody Lott was named the GCAC Pitcher of the Week last week.
