WACO, Tex. - Brandon Cooksey of LSU Shreveport earned recognition as the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 8-14, and Rory Young of LSUS was tabbed as the RRAC Pitcher of the Week for the same dates.

Pilots split double header to take Wiley series
SHREVEPORT, La. - Each team picked up a win on Saturday but the LSU Shreveport Pilots (31-15, 15-9 RRAC) won the series with a 10-3 win in game two of Saturday's double header at Pilots on Senior Day over the Wiley Wildcats (5-30, 4-19 RRAC). Wiley kept the Pilots off balance with a 2-0 win in game one of the twin bill.

Young, defense lead Pilots past Wiley
SHREVEPORT, La. - Rory Young tossed his second complete game shutout of the season as the LSU Shreveport Pilots defeated the Wiley College Wildcats 3-0 on Friday night in the opening game of the weekend Red River Athletic Conference series at Pilot Field. Young was boosted by the best defensive performance of the season as the Pilots made diving catches like they were going out of style on Friday night.

Pilots split DH with 16th ranked William Carey
SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots (29-14) split Tuesday's twin bill at Pilot Field against the NAIA's 16th ranked ball club, the William Carey Crusaders (30-13) as the visitors spoiled the perfect day with a 12-6 win in game one while the Pilots enjoyed a nail biting 11-10 win in the night cap.
