Jeremy Burnett
Jeremy Burnett will begin his first season on Rocke Musgraves' coaching staff. This former Louisiana College pitcher played four seasons for Coach Mike Byrnes helping his team to three appearances in American Southwest Conference Tournament. Burnett was voted Team Captain in 2007 the same year he received the Coaches' Award.
Burnett not only excelled on the field but in the classroom as well collecting three selections to the ASC All-Academic teams in 2004-2007. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Health and Physical Education in 2007 from Louisiana College. Later that year he joined Coach Byrnes' staff as a Student Coach before moving on to coach at the high school level as the Pitching Coach for Class 5A Pineville High School for the past five years.
He is the son of Tom and Sheila Burnett and was raised in Florien, Louisiana. His younger brother Jonathan is in his second year on the Pilot's pitching staff. Jeremy played high school baseball for Coach Chris Ferguson at Florien High School.
In 2009 Jeremy Burnett and Sarah Neal of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, exchanged their wedding vows.
