Pilots sweep double header to claim RRAC title
SHREVEPORT, La. - The no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots clinched the regular season Red River Athletic Conference title with a double header sweep of the Texas Wesleyan Rams on Saturday afternoon at Pilot Field by final scores of 5-2 in the first game and 5-0 in the night cap. Jared Mortensen and Matt Lackie controlled the Rams as both pitched a complete game on Championship Saturday for the Pilots.

Pilots' weekend series moved to Saturday and Sunday
SHREVEPORT, La. - With the threat of thunderstorms in the Shreveport area on Friday the no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots and the Texas Wesleyan Rams will begin the three-game Red River Athletic Conference series now on Saturday afternoon with a double header beginning at 3 p.m. and conclude with a single game on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Senior Day ceremony will take place as originally scheduled before the games on Saturday at 3 p.m.

No. 1 Pilots ease past William Carey
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots had a combined 22 hits in Wednesday's double header to complete the season sweep of the William Carey Crusaders taking game one by a final score of 9-4 and then winning the night cap of the twin bill 10-4. The Pilots are a perfect 5-0 against the Crusaders this season as they started the season with a three-game sweep at the beginning of the year.

Baseball No. 1 for third-consecutive week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Despite seeing its 16-game win streak come to an end, LSU Shreveport claimed the No. 1 ranking for the third-straight week in the 2012 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 poll, the national office announced on Tuesday. The Pilots, a near unanimous top choice for the second-straight week, garnered 18 first-place votes and 558 total points en route to the top spot.

No. 1 Pilots road games moved to Wednesday
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Due to the weather forecast for the Hattiesburg area, the double header between the No. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots at the William Carey Crusaders has been moved to Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. The games were originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday, April 17, at 4 p.m.
