Grey takes Game 1, Series lead
SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSUS Baseball team began their 2012 Fall World Series with Grey taking a one-game series lead winning game 1 7-2 over Navy. Kyle Pearson lifted Grey with a three-run double in the top of the seventh to power past Navy.

Pearson named NAIA Preseason All-American
KASAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2013 Baseball Preseason All-America Team on Monday. The 17-member team was selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America Committee. LSU Shreveport's outfielder Kyle Pearson was one of 17 players in the nation to be selected to the NAIA Preseason All-American Team.

LSUS' Musgraves to speak at ABCA Convention
SHREVEPORT, La. - The Head Coach for the LSU Shreveport Pilots baseball team Rocke Musgraves will speak at the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) National Baseball Coaches Convention on January 6, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, Illinois. He will be one of many speakers at the convention and it will be his chance to let everyone know about LSU Shreveport.

Gonsoulin named MVP after setting WMBL Record
Ridge Gonsoulin soared to the top of the Western Major Baseball League as the owner of a 25-game hitting streak breaking the previous record of 24. Gonsoulin's efforts were not forgotten as the swith-hitting outfielder was named the league's Most Valuable Player.

Pilot coaching tree sprouts yet again
SHREVEPORT, La. - The past few months have been rewarding for LSU Shreveport's Head Baseball Coach Rocke Musgraves in learning that two coaches that coached under him at LSUS now have a head coaching job of their own. Brent Porche was named last month to take over the baseball program at LSU Alexandria while Chris Bertrand, today, was named the Head Coach at the University of Texas-Tyler.
