    Starting Pitching Leads Pilots to a Sweep over Wiley

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The no. 6 LSU Shreveport Pilots remain unbeaten after their starting pitching turned in two performances to lead their club past the Wiley Wildcats in a double header sweep at Pilot Field on Friday. Matt Lackie earned the win as he pitched solid in the first game leading the Pilots to a 6-2 win while Jared Mortensen was on a rail picking up the win as the Pilots won game two 6-3.

    Weather Alters LSUS Baseball Schedule Again

    SHREVEPORT, La. - For the second time this season the weather will play a part in LSU Shreveport altering their baseball schedule. This weekend's series with the Wiley College Wildcats will consist of the double header now being played on Friday, Feb. 17, beginning at 4:00. The first game will be a seven inning game followed by a nine inning game. Saturday's, Feb. 18, schedule has a single game schedule with the first pitch to be thrown at 1:00.

    LSUS Baseball sweeps RRAC POW honors

    WACO, Tex. - Greg Friesen of LSU Shreveport blasted his way to the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week award for Feb. 6-12, while the Pilots' Matt Lackie collected the RRAC Pitcher of the Week award for the same dates.

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSUS baseball head coach Rocke Musgraves will appear on the KTAL Sports news show on tonight, Sunday Feb. 12, at 10:30 p.m. CDT to talk about the recent success of the baseball program.

    Pilots dominate no. 15 Belhaven

    JACKSON, Miss. - The no. 6 LSU Shreveport Pilots pounded out 19 hits in their 11-3 thumping of the no. 15 Belhaven Blazers on Saturday afternoon at Smith-Wills Stadium in the final game of the 2012 Belhaven Invitational.
