Lackie shuts down UHV as no. 1 Pilots claim 12th straight win
SHREVEPORT, La. - Matt Lackie cruised the no. 1 team in the nation, the LSU Shreveport Pilots, with a three-hit shutout win going the distance for the fourth time this season as the Pilots dominated the visiting University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars 9 - 0 at Pilot Field on Friday night. The win gives the Pilots their 12th victory in a row.

Pilots rained out at SAU
MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Today's game versus the no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots and the Southern Arkansas Muleriders has been rained out. The game was originally scheduled to begin tonight, April 4, in Magnolia at 6 p.m. but yesterday's storms dumped enough precipitation on Mulerider Field to cancel today's contest. No makeup date has been announced but both teams are attempting to reschedule the game.

LSU Shreveport tops the ranking for first time
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - LSU Shreveport became the third different team to take over the No. 1 ranking in the second edition of the 2012 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Tuesday. The Pilots, who claim the top spot for the first time in program history, tallied 15 first-place votes and 523 points. LSU Shreveport is currently riding an 11-game win streak with victories coming against then-No. 19 Northwood (Texas), Huston-Tillotson (Texas) and SAGU (Texas). While on its current win streak, LSU Shreveport has outscored opponents 114-34.

Pilots take final game to sweep the SAGU series
WAXAHACHIE, Texas - The final game of the series between the no. 2 LSU Shreveport Pilots and the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lions was not the best defense game that the two teams could have played as the Pilots prevailed 10-6 in a contest that saw a total of 10 errors, five committed by each squad.

Pilots crush SAGU in double header sweep
WAXAHACHIE, Texas - The no. 2 LSU Shreveport Pilots picked up a double header sweep of the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lions on Friday at the Waxahachie Sports Complex taking game one 8-2 and dominating the second game 18-2.
