    Smith finishes career as a First Team All-American

    Kansas City, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2011 NAIA Baseball All-Americans; LSU Shreveport's first baseman Kevin Smith was selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (BCA) All-America Selection Committee to the First Team. Smith was also selected a pre-season All-American this season.

    Brouillette collects more honors after final game

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2011 NAIA Baseball All-Americans; LSU Shreveport's catcher Andrew Brouillette was selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (BCA) All-America Selection Committee to the Honorable Mention Team. In addition, the Pilot catcher was also chosen by the Games Committee at the 2011 Avista-NAIA World Series as the Hank Burbridge Champions of Character Player Award. Brouillette was one of nine up for the award as each team in the World Series had a representative.

    Estrada receives World Series Gold Glove Award

    LEWISTON, Idaho - Manny Estrada of LSU Shreveport was selected by the Avista-NAIA World Series Tournament Committee as the tournament's choice for the Gold Glove Award.

    Pilots' season ends at Avista-NAIA World Series

    LEWISTON, Idaho - The Pilot's season came to an end at the hand of the Concordia University Eagles on Wednesday afternoon at Harris Field in the 2011 Avista-NAIA World Series by a final score of 8-4. The Pilots loaded the bases in the top of the eighth when Justin Brodnax's line drive calmed down enough for the Eagle's right fielder to make the catch and end the Pilot's threat.

    Pilots fall to Lubbock Christian at Avista-NAIA World Series

    LEWISTON, Idaho - Junior right-hander Mike Marshall tossed a three-hit shutout to help sixth-seeded Lubbock Christian (Texas) move into the driver's seat at the Avista-NAIA World Series with a 2-0 win over fourth-seeded LSU Shreveport (La.) at Harris Field on Tuesday. PDT. LSU Shreveport (47-14) will face ninth-seeded Concordia (Calif.) in loser-out play at 3 p.m.
