Baseball Signs Haughton's Havard

Shreveport, La. - LSUS has added another local product to their 2009-10 recruiting class, as Coach Rocke Musgraves announced the signing of Haughton High School's Gavin Havard earlier this week.
Havard is currently hitting .435 with 21 RBIs for the Buccaneers, and he has the Pilot coaching staff excited his potential at the collegiate level.
"Gavin is a kid that we discovered in our Fall League," said Musgraves. "He showed good athleticism behind the plate with a will to learn and get better every day. The Haughton area has produced some quality players in the past, and we are thrilled to add Gavin to our roster."
Havard is the third local kid to sign with LSUS for the 2009-10 school year, joining Benton's Alex Saunders and Logan Norris as future Pilots.
