Baseball set for series opener at Southwest

HOBBS, N.M. - The sixth ranked Pilots baseball team will begin a three-game series with the Southwest Mustangs today at J. O. Williams Field with a double header at 1 CDT.

LSUS (13-1, 4-1 RRAC) has won three games in a row heading into today's series opener as they turn to a pair of dependable right handers for today's starting pitchers; Matt Lackie (3-0, 2.82) and Jared Mortensen (4-0, 1.61).
Southwest (5-14, 2-4 RRAC) has alternated wins and losses over their last five games winning three and losing two but have lost nine of their last 12 games.
The series will conclude tomorrow at 1 CDT.
