Baseball: Pilots soar to no. 2 in the NAIA Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots improved four spots when the first regular season NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll was released on Tuesday afternoon to no. 2 in the nation. The Pilots were tabbed no. 6 in the preseason top 25 poll and are now 26-3 overall on the season. LSUS received three first place votes in this edition of the nation's top 25.
LSU Shreveport leads the Red River Athletic Conference and has won 12 of their last 13 games including seven in a row. The Pilots will take the field tomorrow night (March 28) at 6 p.m. in Pineville, La., as they take on Louisiana College (10-10) for the second time this season. LSUS won the first meeting of the year a month ago at Pilot Field 12-8.
