LSUS Baseball Opening Series moved to begin Saturday
SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport baseball season will have to wait one more day to begin the season than originally planned. The series will now begin on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 4, at Pilot Field against the William Carey Crusaders with the first pitch of the season at 4 p.m. to begin a double header and the series will conclude on Sunday with a single game at 1 p.m. due to the threat of rainy weather on Friday.

Baseball Announces Promotion Schedule for 2012
SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport baseball team will begin their 53-game 2012 schedule Friday, February 3rd, as they host the once Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Rival, William Carey Crusaders. The three-game series is set for a first-pitch at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 3, at Pilot Field. The live play-by-play can be heard on the World Wide Web at Teamline.cc all season long. This season at Pilot field the Pilots will honor different departments at LSUS; feeding them a meal at Friday's game and selecting a member from that department to throw out the first pitch on Friday.

SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots baseball season is fast approaching as the 53-game schedule begins on Friday, February 3, at Pilot Field at 6 p.m. against the William Carey Crusaders. Fans can listen to this game, as well as all LSUS baseball games, live through Teamline with the "voice of the Pilots" Mark Cantrell.

Baseball Lands 7 on Chancellor's/Dean's List
SHREVEPORT, La. - LSU Shreveport announced the fall 2011 Chancellor's List and Dean's List which included 26 players from the LSUS athletic program. David Perkins, Garrett Lambert, Allen Degges, Joey Cefalu, Ben Suit, Kyle Pearson and Caleb Killian were the seven LSUS baseball players that accumulated a 3.5 GPA or higher for the fall semester.

LSUS Baseball Graduates Five
SHREVEPORT, La. - Five former members of the LSU Shreveport Pilots baseball team, Quinton Shamsabady, Curtis Beaudoin, Shawn Moy, Turner Brasher and Zac Ray, earned their degrees from LSUS. Shamsabady earned his master's degree.

LSUS Baseball Copes With Loss of Future Teammate
The LSU Shreveport athletics program would like to express their deepest sympathies to the families and friends of Tanner Craswell and Mitch MacLean of Charlottetown and Cornwall, PEI. Tanner and Mitch were tragically taken on Highway 2 near Claresholm, Alberta early Thursday morning. Tanner just turned 22 years old, while Mitch was 20. Both were former teammates of LSUS' Greg Friesen, Jared Mortensen and a friend of Kym Barthel.
