Bacone slips by Lady Pilots

SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots fell to the Bacone Lady Warriors 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in Red River Athletic Conference play at The Swamp.
Bacone (4-12, 3-5 RRAC) received an outstanding performance from their goal keeper Kyrie Stump who made 10 saves against the LSUS offensive attack that pounded 21 shots her way compared to Bacone only taking a total of four shots the entire game. The only one that mattered was the one taken by Shayla Beene who scored the game-winner during the 43rd minute.
LSUS (8-5, 5-2 RRAC) tried many things but could not solve the puzzle of the visiting keeper. The Lady Pilots dominated in shots 13-2 in the second half but could not come away with a score.
The next game for the Lady Pilots will be next Thursday as they entertain the Lady Scorpions of UT-Brownsville at 3 p.m.
