#3 Pilots, Lady Pilots Look to Get Back on Track

January 25, 2008

Shreveport, La. - The LSUS Pilots and Lady Pilots will look to bounce back Saturday afternoon, after losing a pair of games to Xavier University of New Orleans on Wednesday night.

The men's team dropped a 75-72 overtime decision to the Gold Rush; it was their first loss of the season, as the Pilots had won a school-record 17 consecutive games prior to Wednesday night's contest.

LSUS (17-1, 6-1) can still maintain sole possession of first place in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference standings with a win over the William Carey Crusaders on Saturday afternoon at the Dock.

The Lady Pilots will look to regain the momentum they had during their four-game conference winning streak, after losing back-to-back GCAC games for the first time this season.

The Lady Pilots (8-8, 4-3) will host the Lady 'Saders of William Carey beginning at 2:00 PM.

The men's game is scheduled to tip-off at approximately 4:00 PM.
