Nationally ranked NAIA athletic teams. The LSUS Pilots and Lady Pilots compete in the Gulf Cost Athletic Conference, affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Pilots compete in baseball and basketball
and the Lady Pilots compete in basketball and soccer. The Pilots baseball program gained national recognition in the 2003 season when they made their first appearance in the NAIA World Series finishing in Third Place. The Pilots men’s basketball
program has also set team and university records during the 2007-2008 basketball season, including a 2008 GCAC Championship.
Numerous student organizations, on-campus activities and off campus festivals. LSUS offers over 40 clubs and organizations and encourages you to explore your interests. The University Student Activities Board provides many of the social, entertainment, and cultural activities on campus. The Activities Board sponsors events such as monthly art exhibits, dances,
lobby concerts and demonstrations, a Fall Fest, a Spring Fling, speakers, special festivals, and trips.
Computer Labs and Tutorial Assistance. To assist students in academic life, the University offers many computers labs
located throughout the University along with several forms of academic tutoring, including math, writing, accounting, foreign
language.
Convenient location in the state and in the city. Shreveport is in the heart of the AR-LA-TX, just three hours from Dallas, TX, Little Rock, AR, and Jackson, MS. LSUS is located in the fastest growing section of Shreveport. Students have easy
access to shopping, movies, and restaurants. Students without vehicles will find Shreveport to be easily navigated by bus.

kitchens. An eight foot perimeter fence surrounds the community with electronically controlled limited access. Amenities in-
clude an outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, sand volleyball court, and a clubhouse with a big screen TV. An academic environment coupled
with an array of educational, recreational, and social programming, coordinated by an on-site residence-life staff, enhances the
overall college experience for LSUS students.
