LSUS is located in the southeast corner of Shreveport, Louisiana. Our campus is 5 miles South of downtown Shreveport, on Highway 1, close to many restaurants and shopping areas. Click here for driving directions.
LSUS is part of the Louisiana State University system, however, LSU in Shreveport and LSU in Baton Rouge are separate entities. Each campus is independent and has separate admission applications and procedures, scholarship opportunities, academic choices and majors, and student activities.
The LSUS student to teacher ratio is 19 to 1. Some of your freshman level courses will have larger enrollment, but most of the courses within your major will have between 15 and 20 students. A small student to teacher ratio means that you will receive more individualized attention from a faculty member who knows you.
LSUS offers a variety of online courses ranging from freshmen level to graduate level courses. These courses are great for both traditional and non-traditional students who have full time jobs or families and who wish to pursue further education.
