Accreditation

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accredits LSUS to award Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate, and Specialists degrees.  The Teacher Education programs at LSUS are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP), previously known as the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

This accreditation covers all teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs (Master of Education and Specialist in School Psychology). All Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in the School of Business are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The Chemistry program in the College of Arts and Sciences is accredited by the American Chemical Society and the Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
