Please note, that while in the U.S., the student on B-1/B-2 visa may not engage in any credit granting course even if the course is online. Study leading to a U.S. conferred degree or certificate is not permitted on a visitor (B) visa, even if it is for a short duration. International students are defined as "non-immigrant" visitors who come to the United States temporarily to take classes. A non-immigrant is someone who:

- Does not have U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status (Green Card).
- Applies for a visa to be allowed entry into the U.S.
- Already has an F-1 student visa or is seeking an F-1 student visa.

"The right to a quality education is, I believe, the perfect path to bridge the gap between different cultures and to reconcile various civilizations. Without such a right, the values of liberty, justice, and equality will have no meaning. Ignorance is by far the biggest danger and threat to mankind."
