ENTERING LSUS STUDENTS
First-time, full-time freshman students may qualify for one of three guaranteed scholarships. These scholarships, in addition to the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS), may give some students a free education!! Your complete Admissions Application turned in by August 1 is your scholarship application. To apply click here.
Louisiana Scholarships
-Tuition and fees plus book allowance
-30 ACT and 3.5 high school GPA
Red River Scholarships
-$1,800 per semester
-26 ACT and 3.0 high school GPA
Shreveport Scholarships
-$1,000 per semester
-24 ACT and 2.5 high school GPA
LSUS awards the Blue and Gold Scholarship on a competitive basis to high school seniors who meet the preferred criteria below. Applicants must apply by January 31 of your senior year to be considered.
Blue and Gold Scholarships
Award: $1,000 per semester
Preferred Award Criteria: 20 ACT and a minimum 2.5 high school GPA

Board of Supervisors Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of individual members of the LSU Board of Supervisors for undergraduate students. Students receiving a TOPS award are not eligible for the Board of Supervisors Scholarship during the fall and spring semesters. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS
LSU Shreveport Transfer Student Scholarships
Student must have a 3.0 GPA on 12 or more college hours. The student must apply for admission to the University and submit official transcripts from all colleges attended. Recepients are selected by the LSUS Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee.
Community College Graduate Scholarships
Student must have earned an Associate's Degree from a community college the previous year with a 2.5 GPA. Recepients are selected by the LSUS Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee.

The scholarships below are for continuing students who meet the specific selection criteria and are selected by the LSUS Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee. There is no Scholarship Application required.

LSUS offers continuing student scholarships that are administered through the academic colleges. The scholarships are primarily LSUS Foundation awards and the scholarships offered each year vary. These scholarships are traditionally awarded to a student who is working on their first bachelor degree.
