Applying for Financial Aid

Important Dates

January 31: A separate scholarship application is not required. Students who apply to the University by January 31 are automatically considered for entering student scholarships.

To be considered for entering student scholarships complete and/or submit the following:

  • Application for Admission
  • ACT scores
  • Current unofficial high school transcript (entering freshman)
  • Current unofficial college transcripts (entering transfer student)

June 1: Priority deadline for completing your financial aid file for the upcoming fall and spring sessions

October 1: Priority deadline for completing your financial aid file for the upcoming spring and summer sessions

May 1: Priority deadline for completing your financial aid file for the upcoming summer session

If your financial aid file is not complete on or before the priority deadlines listed above, you should plan to pay your tuition and fees by the Fee Payment Deadline date. The Financial Aid Office will issue your approved aid when it is complete, but applications are processed in the order in which they are received, and the late applications may not be processed until after the beginning of the semester.

A complete file in the Financial Aid Office contains:

Student Aid Report or electronic record from the Department of Education

Student Data Form

Loan Application if you are applying for a loan

Loan Counseling if you are a first-time loan borrower

Verification process completed
