BADM 700 and BADM 701 Update

Effective January 1, 2018, the MHA Foundation courses, BADM 700 and BADM 701 are no longer offered. BADM 700 and BADM 701 have been replaced with four new courses, ECON 500, ISDS 500, ACCT 500, and FIN 500. The new MHA foundation courses are one hour credit classes graded on a pass-fail basis. In addition, these courses are taken 100% online and are now optional.

The New MHA Foundation Courses:

  • Economics 500 (Offered 1C)
  • ISDS 500 (Offered 1C)
  • Accounting 500 (Offered 1D)
  • Finance 500 (Offered 1D)

As stated above, the new MHA foundation courses are optional and will be graded on a pass/fail basis. You are encouraged to enroll in one or more of the foundation courses if you have not taken undergraduate courses in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or Statistics. Enrollment in MHA Foundation courses is determined by the student and should be based on the student's undergraduate degree, job experience, and related skill set.

Foundation Course Considerations

  • Students with the following backgrounds may not need to take the optional foundation courses:
  • An undergraduate degree in business
  • Undergraduate coursework in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Finance for Finance 500 and Accounting 500.
  • Undergraduate coursework in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Statistics for Economics 500 and ISDS 500
