Research Purpose |
The purpose of this research study is to understand retailing and distribution trends in Germany. Key research objectives include (1) understanding who the biggest retailers are and how these retailers affect the economy and (2) understanding how exports shape the economy in Germany. |
|
Research Methodology |
To fulfill the research purpose, I examined secondary data, including news publications, the world economic outlook database, magazines, and information from the library of economics and liberty. |
|
Research Conclusion |
Mercedes-Benz, BMW, SAP, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Adidas are some of the biggest retailers in Germany. German exports and the automobile industry are two factors that make a big part of Germany's economy. Since last year, the economy has grown, and it is forecasted to grow 16% this year because many countries are demanding German automobiles. Exports make up 41 percent of Germany's GDP. |
|
Research/Practical/ |
Retailers in other countries can use this information. For example, the automobile industry in countries like the United States needs to consider lowering the prices of cars so that Germany will not be able to sell many of their exported cars. |
