Mathematics
The LSU Shreveport Department of Mathematics offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
A focus area in one of these broad mathematical categories may be chosen: pure, applied, financial, statistical/actuarial. The freshman and the sophomore courses are the same; the remaining courses must be coordinated with the student's advisor.
A minor in mathematics is available. Individual plans for minors must be coordinated and approved by the chair of the Mathematics Department.
Most of our senior-level courses are also cross-listed as graduate courses, appropriate for teacher "+30" programs and other professional development.
