The Department of Fine Arts, Foreign Languages, and Humanities at LSU Shreveport offers a baccalaureate degree in Fine Arts with concentrations in Animation and Visual Effects, Art History, Graphic Design or Studio Art. In addition, the department offers a wide range of courses in the areas of French, Humanities, India Studies, International Studies, Music, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Spanish and Women's Studies. All full-time faculty in this department hold the highest appropriate degrees providing a superior level of expertise in the curriculum. In the past ten years this department has been awarded over one million dollars in grants which have been used primarily for building laboratories. The Computer Graphics Lab, Foreign Language Audio Lab, Foreign Language Computer Lab and Piano Lab are among the finest Liberal Arts laboratories in the state. The department also makes possible and supports campus art exhibitions, internship programs and curriculum minors.
