College of Arts and Sciences

School of Humanities and Social Sciences

We share a broad and deep interest in the fundamental question: What does it mean to be human?  In response to this question, we explore from a range of perspectives ways of interpreting and evaluating the artistic, linguistic, and social media through which people of all ages and cultures have tried, and continue to try, to make sense of the world. This is the path to wisdom.

Our School offers five programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree:  English, Fine Arts, History, Mass Communication, and Sociology.  We also offer a program leading to the Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree, as well as a program leading to the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Arts.  Finally, we have an interdisciplinary program, the Bachelor of General Studies, for mature students whose circumstances do not allow them to pursue a traditional degree program.
