Understanding Your Degree Program
All degree programs at LSUS are designed to ensure a balanced and thorough education. Your degree program will foster your critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills and develop the specialized professional skills of your chosen major.
In pursuit of your degree, you will complete two sets of requirements: the General Education Requirements established by the Board of Regents and Program Requirements established by the department in which you are majoring. Departments granting a Bachelor of Arts degree also include a short list of College Requirements.
The easiest way to find the requirements for your degree program is by reading the Curriculum Sheet for your degree. Click the hyperlink for a list of Undergraduate Academic Programs. Once on this page, click on the program of interest to access the Curriculum Sheets.
To complete your undergraduate degree, you must:
- Complete all requirements (Gen Ed, College, and Program) listed on your curriculum sheet.
- Earn at least a 2.0 GPA:
LSUS-only students: you must earn at least a 2.0 GPA overall (all classes taken at LSUS) and a 2.0 GPA in your chosen major (all classes that contribute to your Program Requirements taken at LSUS)
Transfer students: in addition to the LSUS requirements, you must also earn at least a 2.0 GPA overall (classes taken at LSUS and elsewhere) and a 2.0 GPA in all classes taken for your major (at LSUS and elsewhere).
