LSUS's faculty
and staff guide talented students and build a spirit of community
and achievement that shape a distinctive future founded on teaching,
learning and discovery. The LSUS Administration staff can be considered
as the University's backbone. By provided program funding and promoting
academic excellence, LSUS administrators have laid a solid foundation.
Office
of the Chancellor
Dr. Vincent J. Marsala, LSUS Chancellor, has committed
over thirty years of excellence to LSUS. By helping to provide students
with the necessary confidence to excel academically, Dr. Marsala
is well known throughout LSUS. Dr. Marsala believes in having an
open door policy where students and faculty are welcome to share
their concerns.
Academic
Affairs
The academic units of the University supply the intellectual
capital necessary to support the region's intellectual, economic,
social, and cultural development. Academic Affairs is capable of
doing this by: providing academic programs and recognizing academic
excellence; offering continuing education opportunities appropriate
to career and lifelong learning; and providing access to information
via our Noel Memorial Library with its unique collection.
Business
Affairs
This LSUS division ensures that the University uses
the financial and physical resources entrusted to it with effectiveness,
efficiency, and complete accountability. The Business Affairs Division
helps to pave a secure foundation for LSUS students by providing
funding and supporting academic excellence.
Development
The Office of Development coordinates all fundraising
for the university and supports the LSUS foundation. The office
oversees Media and Public Relations and the Office of Alumni and
Community Relations.
Student
Affairs
The Student Affairs Division helps students establish
personal autonomy, form satisfactory personal relationships, and
set goals for their years at the University and after. The Division
offers personal counseling, social activities, career placement
assistance, and record maintenance services.

the state's largest and most comprehensive system of higher education.
The system contains facilities and/or programs in each of Louisiana's
64 parishes.

congressional district and including a student member elected by
the student government associations.
The Regents
have extensive powers relating to oversight of public higher education
including approval, revision or elimination of degree programs;
